This is the first record of the species from Namibia. Cricotopus flavozonatus was previously recorded from Ethiopia, Uganda, South Africa, and Zimbabwe (Freeman 1956; Freeman and Cranston 1980; Curtis 1991; Harrison 2004; Ashe and O’Connor 2012).
