Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the causes of aggression and violence behaviors that appear and increase in schools, and to examine the roles of both the school and the teachers in the prevention of these behaviors. The population of the research consists of administrators and teachers working in the province of Van in the 2021-2022 academic year, and the sample consists of 5 school principals and 5 teachers who voluntarily participated in the research. In the 5 open-ended questions, that validity and reliability of which were tested with expert opinions, were used as data collection tools. As a result of the research; many students believe that violence is the most effective way to solve conflict and problem. As the reasons for this situation, violence shows continuity by starting from the family; even it has been observed that there isn't deterrence to getting angry because the children are used to beating in the family. In addition, a conventional analysis of violence and aggression was made by discussing the issue of violence and aggression in schools, risk factors and solution suggestions. In order to make away violence and to offer better quality and safer educational environments to students, it is necessary to examine violence in schools first. In the line with stated reasons, it was concluded that precautions should be taken under the view of this results.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, okullarda öğrencilerin saldırganlık ve şiddet içeren davranışlarının gerek ortaya çıkmasında ve önlenmesinde okul ve öğretmenlerin rollerini belirlemektir Araştırmanın evrenini Van Ilinde 2021-2022 öğretim yılında görev yapan idareci ve öğretmenler oluşturmakta örneklemini ise araştırmaya gönüllü katılan 5 okul müdürü ve 5 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır Araştırmada geçerlilik ve güvenirliği uzman görüşleriyle test edilen 5 er açık uçlu soru veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır Araştırma sonucunda, birçok öğrencinin çatışma ve problem çözmede en etkin yolun şiddet olduğuna inanmaktadır Bu durumun nedenleri olarak şiddetin aileden başlayarak bir süreklilik gösterdiği, hatta çocukların ailede dayağa alışmış olmalarından kaynaklı kızmanın herhangi caydırıcılığının kalmadığı bir gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca, okullarda şiddet ve saldırganlık konusu, buna ilişkin risk faktörleri ve çözüm önerileri ele alınarak, şiddet ve saldırganlığa ilişkin kavramsal çözümleme yapılmıştır Şiddetin ortadan kaldırılabilmesi ve öğrencilere daha kaliteli, daha güvenli eğitim ortamlarının sunulabilmesi için, öncelikle okullarda şiddetin irdelenmesi gerekmektedir Tespit edilen sebepler doğrultusunda ise sonuçlar ışığında önlemlerin alınmasının gerektiği gibi sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır.
