The HSI National STEM Resource Hub is preserving its website and compiled resources for future use and reference. This entry consists of the following semillas mentored. 2022 Semillas Mentored Grantsmanship Program The NSF HSI National STEM Resource Hub announced the 2022 Semillas Mentored Grantsmanship Program, aimed at supporting project leaders at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs). This program provided time and resources for developing research projects, building partnerships, and writing proposals for NSF HSI Program funding. It focused on enhancing undergraduate STEM education, improving retention and graduation rates in STEM fields, and building grant-writing capacity at HSIs with historically lower NSF funding. Participants prepared proposals for either Planning or Pilot Projects (Track 1) or Implementation and Evaluation Projects (Track 2), with an emphasis on enhancing STEM education quality at less-resourced institutions and broader HSI communities. 2021 Semillas Mentored Grantsmanship Program The NSF HSI National STEM Resource Hub announced the 2021 Semillas Mentored Grantsmanship Program, designed to strategically support project leaders at Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs). The program provided time and resources for developing research projects, building partnerships, working with evaluators, preparing IRB submissions, and writing proposals for NSF HSI Program funding. It aimed to enhance undergraduate STEM education, improve retention and graduation rates in STEM fields, and build grant-writing capacity at HSIs that typically received less NSF funding. Participants prepared proposals for either Planning or Pilot Projects (Track 1) or Implementation and Evaluation Projects (Track 2), focusing on enhancing STEM education quality at less-resourced institutions and broader HSI communities. 2021 Semillas II Mentored Granstmanship Training Program Cohort Dr. Céline Cassé - University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez Webpage:https://www.uprm.edu/p/chemistry/ccasse Dr. Jose Antonio Cabrera - San Jose City College Webpage: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jose-cabrera-65788635 Dr. Tammy Castro - Bloomfield College Webpage: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tammy-castro-6786b375 Dr. Juan H. GANAS planning grants were awarded to prepare proposals for the NSF HSI Initiative in one of two tracks: Building Capacity (Track 1) or HSIs New to NSF (Track 2), with up to $12,500 in funding. Track 1 focused on critical transitions, innovative cross-sector partnerships, and teaching and learning in STEM, while Track 2 was reserved for institutions that had never received NSF funding or had not received it in the five years preceding the proposal deadline. 2021 Semillas I Mentored Granstmanship Training Program Cohort Dr. Heidy L.
