</script>The Design Science research paradigm aims to guide investigations that aim to develop artifacts that can solve real problems, including in education. Such a paradigm can be operationalized by the Design Science Research methodology. Therefore, the objective of this work was to identify theses and dissertations that adopted Design Science Research as a research methodology for the production of artifacts intended to solve problems in the context of education. Through a Systematic Literature Review, we identified that research has focused, for the most part, on developing artifacts focused on higher education. Much of the research carried out, although with an educational focus, is carried out in Postgraduate programs in areas such as Design and Engineering and Knowledge Management. "Methods" are the most elaborate type of artifact, whose evaluation takes place mainly via evaluation rounds with experts through the application of questionnaires. Finally, although Design Science Research requires communication of results beyond academic publications, there is still a limitation in meeting this aspect. It is concluded, then, that Design Science Research is a methodology that needs to be further explored in Postgraduate Programs in Education, where master's and doctoral students are closely familiar with the daily challenges of educational institutions and, therefore, can propose suitable artifacts. to improve their realities.
