This dataset contains files recorded during a sago harvest. After cutting down and chopping the sago palm, Caspar Mokai and Marua Bai sit down and make conversation. Marua Bai tells old time stories. The video is purely observational. It was recorded in Rouku village, Western Province, Papua New Guinea. The dataset includes: audio file (tci20130927v-06.wav) - extracted from the video file for transcription video file (tci20130927v-06.mpeg) transcription file (tci20130927v-06.eaf) Note that the transcription file in this record is not up to date! The project was located at the School of Culture, History and Language at the Australian National University, Canberra.
