
Este ensayo explora el impacto de la inteligencia artificial generativa (IAG) en la elaboración de tesis de grado debido a su potencial para automatizar tareas de investigación. Está dirigido principalmente a personas tesistas en el ámbito de las Ciencias Políticas y Sociales que comienzan a emplear la IAG. Se argumenta a favor del uso crítico de la IAG debido a la importancia de desarrollar habilidades de pensamiento superior (HPS) para una empleabilidad futura en la era de la IA. Se presentan ocho recomendaciones en fases específicas del trabajo de tesis, junto con pautas generales de reflexión frente a las limitaciones de la IAG como asistente de investigación científica.
This essay examines the impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) on undergraduate thesis development, emphasizing its potential to automate research tasks. It is aimed primarily at thesis writers in Political and Social Sciences who are beginning to integrate GAI into their research methodologies. The argument advocates for the critical aplication of GAI, emphasizing the necessity of cultivating Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) for future employability in the AI era. The essay presents eight recommendations, tailored to specific stages of thesis work, along with general guidelines for reflecting on the limitations of GAI as a tool in scientific research.
