Abstract

The poster "DataNord: Empowering Bremen’s Research Community in Data Literacy" outlines the mission and structure of DataNord, an interdisciplinary data competence center in Bremen. It has been presented during the second Bremen Research Data Day in 2024 by Dr. Lena Steinmann and Dr. Tanja Hörner. DataNord's mission: Enhance data skills among researchers at all career levels through interdisciplinary collaboration. Scientific Profile Areas: Marine and Environmental Sciences, Material Sciences and Engineering, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities. Services Offered: Learning Opportunities: In-depth training programs, Data Train, Lunch & Learn sessions, Data Hacks, and Summer Schools. Expert Advice: Help Desk for data management and science support throughout the research lifecycle. Consultation and Networking: Data Community Club, Hacky Hours & Data Stories, Citizen Science initiatives, and events connecting various sectors. DataNord is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and funded by the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
