This chapter explores the impact of others on thesis writing and the crucial roles (supportive or challenging) of advisors, family, friends, and the educational institution for the thesis writer. Beyond the epistemic and rational aspects, thesis writing involves complex psycho-emotional dynamics. Through a detailed analysis and the use of testimonies derived from grounded theory and the qualitative method, it is discussed how these groups influence the motivation, development and, sometimes, frustration of the thesis candidate, being important an affective and supportive network. The relationship with the thesis advisor, given a dynamic of emotional transference and academic expectations, is crucial for progress; likewise, the emotional and motivational support of family and friends. The educational institution, for its part, is a structural other that establishes necessary academic norms and frameworks and a source of pressure and stress. Finally, a reflection on the use of artificial intelligence as an auxiliary tool in research is proposed, highlighting the human and emotionally rich interaction in academic advising.

Se explora el impacto de otros en la elaboración de una tesis y los roles cruciales (apoyo o desafío) de asesores, familia, amigos e institución educativa para el tesista. Pues más allá de los aspectos epistémicos y racionales, la elaboración de una tesis involucra complejas dinámicas psico emocionales. A través de un análisis detallado y uso de testimonios derivados de la teoría fundada y el método cualitativo, se aborda cómo estos grupos influyen en la motivación, desarrollo y, en ocasiones, frustración del tesista, siendo importante una red afectiva y de apoyo. La relación con el asesor de tesis, dada una dinámica de transferencia emocional y expectativas académicas, es crucial para el avance; asimismo, el soporte emocional y motivacional de la familia y los amigos. La institución educativa, por otro lado, es un otro estructural que establece normas y marcos académicos necesarios y fuente de presión y estrés. Finalmente, se propone una reflexión sobre el uso de la inteligencia artificial como herramienta auxiliar en la investigación, destacando la interacción humana y emocionalmente rica en la asesoría académica.
