This is a lecture that starts with the basic ideas of Open Science and then provides a Kickstarter overview for researchers at Philipps-Universität Marburg. The content initially focuses on the question “Why Open Science?”, in the first part with a brief introduction to the “Publish or Perish” principle. The second part explains what Open Science entails and how this movement opposes the “publish or perish” principle.
