Трансформація Польської Школи: Від Нового Виховання До Сьогодення

Abstract

At the end of the XIXth – the beginning of the XXth century there was a need to create a new model of education and upbringing, which led to the emergence of projects of experimental schools by John Dewey, Celesten Frene and Henry Rovid. The article presents the concept of the creative school of Henry Rovid, who first expressed the idea that creativity should be the basis of learning as “the process of continuous creating”. The transformation of Polish education led to the emergence of different models and concepts of education. A concept of an outstanding Polish scholar K. Schmid, who is an author of many books on creativity, is popular. He made efforts to introducing creative lessons in schools, organized trainings showing teachers how to creatively work with children. The author also identified the main obstacles which hindered the development of creativity in schools. Poland, like most of the developed countries of the world, is looking for solutions to the situation prevailing in the traditional school. It is believed that the modern school does not develop children’s talents and abilities. Therefore, the idea of homeschooling is increasingly discussed in the society and among modern parents.
