
The butterflies and moths (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera, Heterocera) of the Pszczyna Forests. The paper presents the results of the butterflies and moths research (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera, Heterocera) of the Pszczyna Forests (Upper Silesia, southern Poland). It covers the period from 1973 to 2023. A list of Lepidoptera recorded in Pszczyna Forests contains 1564 species from 71 families: 1495 moths and 69 butterflies. Out of them 31 species are for the first time recorded from Upper Silesia, and are marked with „*”. The most numerous families are Noctuidae (219 species), Tortricidae (216 species) and Geometridae (212 species).
