Acesso lexical em universitários com TDAH

Abstract

O Transtorno de Déficit de Atenção/Hiperatividade (TDAH) é um transtorno do neurodesenvolvimento resultante de déficits do controle executivo. O reconhecimento e o acesso lexical de palavras do tipo blends podem ser mais custosos nos universitários com TDAH. O objetivo geral foi investigar se os blends são processados mais rapidamente que palavras morfologicamente complexas entre os grupos experimental (GE - com TDAH) e controle (GC - sem TDAH). Ainda, buscou-se: i) verificar a influência do controle executivo no acesso lexical de palavras complexas e dos blends, ii) comparar o desempenho entre o GE e o GC para analisar se as distinções cognitivas repercutem no acesso lexical e constatar os tipos de palavras que facilitam e os que dificultam o processamento. Participaram 18 universitários do GE e 8 universitários do CG com idade entre 21 e 47 anos. Para testar o controle executivo, o design experimental englobou as condições congruente, incongruente e neutra nos blends e nas palavras morfologicamente complexas em uma Tarefa de Decisão Lexical com Simon Task. A hipótese proposta é a de que o GE teria mais dificuldades no reconhecimento e acesso lexical de blends e maior tempo na tomada de decisão lexical em comparação com o GC, pois essa tarefa exige uma maior demanda do controle executivo, algo que os sujeitos com TDAH possuem mais falhas. O GE iria cometer mais erros na condição incongruente e seriam mais lentos nos tempos de reação em comparação com a condição congruente. Os resultados preliminares revelaram efeitos principais de grupo, de tipo de palavra e de condição. Observou-se também que houve efeito de interação apenas entre grupo e tipo de palavra. O GE mostrou-se ser mais lento que o GC. Dessa forma, os resultados caminham na direção da hipótese proposta e, diante disto, pretende-se ampliar a amostra de voluntários para averiguar se estas tendências permanecem ou se modificam.
