Sciurus (Sciurus) variegatoides Ogilby 1839 Sciurus (Sciurus) variegatoides Ogilby 1839, Proc. Zool. Soc. Lond., 1839: 117. Type Locality: "...west coast of South America." Restricted by Nelson (1899 b:80) to "[El] Salvador.". Vernacular Names: Variegated Squirrel.
