Vernacular Names: Melissa's Yellow-eared Bat. Distribution: Peru, S Colombia. A record from French Guiana is apparently erroneous (Charles-Dominique et al., 2001). Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt). Discussion: Subgenus Vampyressa.
