Abstract. Today, amid the conditions of war in Ukraine, there are fundamental changes happening in society, with youth being the most sensitive to them. This period highlights the importance of choosing a life path, defining personal values and meanings, mastering a specific profession, developing autonomous morality, forming worldviews, and cultivating friendships and intimate relationships with peers, accompanied by first love and expressions of sexual attraction. All events occurring during adolescence significantly influence an individual's functionality and can either facilitate or complicate the formation and development of adult personalities. The traumatic conditions of life that today's youth are adapting to include war and the uncertainty of Ukraine's socio-economic future. In these circumstances, against the backdrop of a social-demographic crisis, the educational trend for young people is defined by the choice of educational and professional activities, which are associated with acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to master a specific profession. The health of future skilled professionals, including mental health, is a fundamental component of human capital. Therefore, this study considers the psychological and pedagogical support for personal and professional self-determination of young men and women in conditions of war and post-war recovery in the country. It is shown that psychological assistance to young men and women should be considered as a means of their social and psychological rehabilitation, determining their professional interests and abilities, which can be provided within the framework of the everyday work of psychologists in educational institutions.
