Authors: Michailova, Paraskeva;

Chironomus dorsalis Strenzke

Abstract

Chironomus dorsalis sensu Strenzke The chromosome set is 2n = 8.AE chromosome is submetacentric, CD and BF chromosomes are metacentric, G chromosome is telocentric (Fig. 16). The centromere regions of all chromosomes are formed of thin dark bands. Chromosome G has two BRs and one NOR, near to the centromere region. On both sides of one BR there are double dark bands—a marker of the species (Fig. 16).Ten larvae were analyzed. Collection sites: Sofia: Pancharevo Lake, Gornja Banij; Chepelare: fish pool.
