The paper evaluates the analytical capabilities of screen printed electrodes in the inversion-voltammetric determination of selenium (IV) ions. The electrochemical behavior of native and modified screen printed electrodes in the voltammetric determination of selenite ions in the anode and cathode potential regions has been studied. The applicability of carbon-containing sensors manufactured by screen printing in the determination of selenium in the anode region of potentials at the level of 10 micrograms/L is shown. The analysis of samples of drinking water, food, plants, and vitamin products was carried out, which showed the possibility of determining Se(IV) by the inversion-voltammetric method at the level of 10 micrograms/L. The possibility of using Bi-modified SPCE in the determination of micro- and subnanomolar concentrations of Se(IV) by cathode inversion voltammetry is also shown.
