Tripteroides (Rachionotomyia) affinis

Abstract

Tripteroides (Rachionotomyia) affinis (Edwards, 1913) Distribution. Karnataka: Kundapur District. Mangrove. Habitat dependence. Transient—Larvae only. Immature stages of this species might have been flushed into crabholes during heavy rains. Larvae are usually found in bamboo stumps, split bamboo, tree holes, bases of trees and coconut shells. Reference. Rajavel & Natarajan (2008).
