Abstract

Berberis thunbergii DC. Artbeschreibung: Ähnlich wie B. vulgaris, aber Blätter nur 1-3 cm lang, +/- ganzrandig, Dornen meist einfach, Blüten zu 2-4 in Blattwinkeln, oft aussen rot gefleckt, Beeren glänzend. Dekorative rote Herbstfärbung. Var. atropurpurea mit dunkelpurpurnem Sommerlaub. Blütezeit: 5-6 Standort und Verbreitung in der Schweiz: Kultiviert und gelegentlich verwildert / kollin / Verbreitung global: Stammt aus Japan Ökologische Zeigerwerte nach Landolt & al.
