Abstract

Mahonia aquifolium (Pursh) Nutt. Artbeschreibung: Bis über 2 m hoher immergrüner Strauch ohne Dornen. Blätter unpaarig gefiedert, lederig, oberseits dunkelgrün glänzend, mit 2-4 Paaren von breit-lanzettlichen, ca. 5 cm langen, stachelig gezähnten, sitzenden Teilblättern und einem lang gestielten Endteilblatt. Blüten hellgelb, meist 6 zählig, in 3-5 cm langen, aufrechten Trauben. Beeren dunkelblau, +/- kugelig, Durchmesser ca. 1 cm. Blütezeit: 4-5 Standort und Verbreitung in der Schweiz: Kultiviert und selten verwildert / kollin-montan / Verbreitung global: Stammt aus Nordamerika Ökologische Zeigerwerte nach Landolt & al.
