Antibody Characterization Report for TGM2 (Protein-glutamine gamma-glutamyltransferase 2)

Abstract

A peer-reviewed antibody characterization article corresponding to this Zenodo preprint is openly available at F1000Research: https://doi.org/10.12688/f1000research.150684.2 This report presents a guide to selecting high-quality commercial antibodies against Protein-glutamine gamma-glutamyltransferase 2 (TGM2) by Western blot, immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence, using a standardized experimental protocol based on comparing read-outs in knockout cell lines and isogenic parental controls. To critically assess the performance of antibodies by Western blot, the antibodies were screened on culture medium as well as lysate. The work presented in this study was supported in part by the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's research.

Keywords

Erythrocyte transglutaminase, antibody characterization, Protein G alpha(h), Protein-glutamine deamidase TGM2, TGM2, Protein-glutamine gamma-glutamyltransferase 2, P21980, Western blot, immunofluorescence, antibody validation, Isopeptidase TGM2, immunoprecipitation
