</script>Abstract: In the nfdi4energy project, we explore the complexities of interdisciplinary energy research by incorporating non-technical aspects into energy system models as a representative investigative approach. With our work, we seek to identify the key factors that enable efficient interdisciplinary research collaboration, resulting in findings that transcend disciplinary borders and offer insights applicable to different research communities. At the outset of our investigation, we aim to introduce and thoughtfully evaluate the design of our research framework for interdisciplinary energy transition research.

| citations This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
