Agroiconota lateripunctata Spaeth 1936

Abstract

Agroiconota lateripunctata Spaeth, 1936 Published record. ‘Mendes [= name of collector; thus, São Paulo only]’ (Bඈඋඈඐංൾർ 1996). Distribution. Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil (Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo), Paraguay, and Venezuela. Remarks. Bඈඋඈඐංൾർ (1996) published material labelled ‘Sao Paulo Mendes’ and interpreted Mendes as the name of locality. However, it is most likely a name of collector rather than locality (L. Borowiec, pers. comm. 2020) and thus, the record is here interpreted as São Paulo only.

Keywords

Coleoptera, Insecta, Arthropoda, Chrysomelidae, Animalia, Agroiconota lateripunctata, Agroiconota, Biodiversity, Taxonomy
