
The aim of this literature review is to describe the demographics of ageing population and define third-age population, in particular. It identifies key aspects of intergenerational learning and outlines the intended outcomes as well as the possible benefits of intergenerational initiatives. Erasmus+60 is a highly innovative project focusing on a particular age group that has not been sufficiently considered in the development of HEI activities and framework programmes like Erasmus+: European citizens aged 60 and above.
