Estudio De La Biomecánica Del Hueso Con El Long-Bone-Diaphyseal-CSG-Toolkit: Una Herramienta Para Investigar La Actividad Física En Las Poblaciones Arqueológicas

Abstract

This work introduces an innovative archaeological methodology for analysing geometric morphometrics in human bones, focusing on the biomechanical properties of the long bone diaphysis as indicators of activity in historical populations. A study was conducted on 126 individuals from Muslim cemeteries of the Nasrid period using 3D scanning technology and the Long-bone-diaphyseal-CSG-Toolkit for morphometric analysis. The results provide valuable information about physical activity and workload in these populations, highlighting the potential of this methodology in archaeological research.
