With iridescent peridium alternated with thick calcareous scales, more noticeable in the upper part (Fig. 4D). Similar to Ph. australiense S.L. Stephenson, Novozh. & Prikhodko, distinguishable by the calcareous columella, but the two species could be conspecific regarding the remaining morphological traits.
