CONTINUUM COGNITIVO E CRENÇAS NUCLEARES: ADAPTAÇÃO DE UM RECURSO PSICOTERÁPICO

Abstract

Abstract – The objective of this work is to develop and adapt a resource based on the Cognitive Continuum for nuclear beliefs. This research is applied and descriptive in nature with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Ten (10) expert judges participated. CVC were calculated for each item (CVCi) and total CVC (CVCt), based on the criteria: relevance and clarity. At the end of the theoretical procedure, the first version of the resource presented 88 items, divided into core beliefs (n=18) and psychological characteristics (n=70). Regarding the agreement index between the expert judges, an overall score (CVCt) of 0.90 was obtained, considered a reliable resource. Adapting this resource into a structured format contributes to a systematic approach aimed at helping patients identify, explore and challenge their core beliefs, promoting a more flexible and realistic view of themselves.
