Geographic range Mainland China (Hainan, Hong Kong), Vietnam (Vĩnh Phúc). New record for Hainan and Vietnam. Ecology Collected in primary forest, secondary forest and rubber plantations. Comments A widely-distributed species within Hong Kong, with its endemic status hypothesized to be the result of under-sampling in China rather than true endemism (Tang et al. 2019). This is now confirmed by its record in Hainan. Its presence in surrounding provinces of Guangdong and Guangxi in China can likely be confirmed through further sampling efforts. The record in in northern Vietnam further extends its native range westward, indicated that it has a much wider range than what was previously known.
