This paper gives a comprehensive idea about the tribes in Mayurbhanj. From the analysis, it is clear that it's very difficult to bring the tribes into the mainstream of society though there were a lot of tribal development programs implemented by both center as well as the state. Among all the tribal communities in Mayurbhanj, only Santhal and Bhumja are considered civilized.
