Phalotris mertensi (Hoge, 1955) Type locality. Serra Azul, state of São Paulo, Brazil. Distribution. Endemic to Brazil (Plt. 268A). Recorded in the southern portion of the Cerrado and its contact with the Atlantic Forest (Plt. 268A), mostly at intermediate to high elevations (Plt. 268B). Observed in the field in seasonal forest, savanna, and disturbed areas (Sawaya et al., 2008; Barros et al., 2017).
