Spatial plant-plant associations from a Mediterranean grassland and associated analyses

Abstract

This dataset contains data documenting plant spatial patterns in a Mediterranean grassland (la Crau, France) along a grazing and nutrient enrichment gradient, along with accessory data documenting soil characteristics. It has been used to compute spatial association networks for plant communties to investigate changes in plant-plant interactions with grazing. Results show that association networks become closer to random expectations as grazing pressure increases.

The main type of results that can be obtained from this dataset are association networks. The code necessary to obtain those networks is provided with the dataset as an R package (loadable using `devtools::load_all("./path/to/pkg")`). A README.md file included with the data provides more detail about the way this procedure can be carried out, and more generally how the analyses from the paper (<10.1111/oik.07850>) can be reproduced.

A detailed description of how results can be reproduced, as well as a description of the data provided with this dataset are in the file 'README.md' at the root of the archive.
