Abstract

Fünf Archäologinnen stehen im Zentrum der vorliegenden Publikation. Sie sind um die Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts mit Vindonissa in Kontakt gekommen und haben dort ihre eigenen Spuren hinterlassen. – Die Lebensskizzen beleuchten Studium und berufliche Tätigkeit der fünf Wissenschaftlerinnen zwischen 1930 und 1970. Gleichzeitig sind sie ein faszinierendes Stück Wissenschaftsgeschichte. – Im Kontext der damaligen gesellschaftlichen Situation in der Schweiz haben sich übergreifende Fragen gestellt: Welche Arbeitsmöglichkeiten boten sich der jungen Forschergeneration, insbesondere den Frauen? Liessen sich Familie und Beruf vereinbaren? Welche Rolle spielten Netzwerke für ein berufliches Fortkommen? Lassen sich Faktoren für Karriereschritte oder Karrierebrüche benennen?
