Abstract

Lectotypiﬁcations of Eriobotrya ambigua, E. bengalensis f. contracta, E. bengalensis f. multinervata, Opa metrosideros (synonym of E. metrosideros), Photinia griffithii (synonym of E. griffithii), E. prionophylla are designated here, and a neotype is designated for Mespilus bengalensis (≡ E. bengalensis). The protologues of these names and the original materials are evaluated. Nomenclatural notes discussing the selection of type specimens are given for each name and known isotypes are also cited.
