Abstract

Typification of three Lamarck’s names in Cistus (Cistaceae) is discussed. Lectotypes for two names currently included in Halimium are proposed: H. atriplicifolium and H. lasianthum subsp. alyssoides. The name Cistus involucratus, synonym of H. ocymoides is also lectotypified. The designation of the nomenclatural types is based on Lamarck’s original material conserved in the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (Paris) at P (the historical collections: Isnard, Jussieu, Lamarck) and the references cited in the respective protologues.
