The project here described was directed by the principal and teachers of the Columbia School, Seattle, Washington, for the purpose of improving the children's health habits. Furthermore, its influence was expected to reach throughout the community tributary to the school. In a word, the community attitude toward the vital question of health was to be improved. An additional challenge came from a new course of study in hygiene. The keynote of this course is the formation of proper health habits.
