Abstract

I HAVE just received a letter from Dr. Emil Goeldi, Director of the rising Museum at Para, in which he informs me of the interesting discovery of Lepidosiren at the mouth of the river Amazons (or rather of the river Tocantins). I had better give the part of his letter which refers to this capture. The letter is dated Para, June 9.
