The use of the latest methods of conducting business is a characteristic feature of modernity for JSC «Ukrzaliznytsia». In order to increase the efficiency of the industry, namely, to increase revenues, JSC «Ukrzaliznytsia» is introducing advanced technological and economic measures that allow to significantly increase the level of profitability of the cargo transportation process, to reach an unprecedented new level of economic activity, to ensure the construction of a transparent and efficient labor systems of state-owned enterprises. The need for changes in the system of ordering and planning freight transportation dictates the need for digital transformation of the main processes of interaction of railways with their customers. To date, only the improvement of the software of the automated system (AS) «Mesplan» does not meet modern requirements, and accordingly programs of the so-called digital transformation of the main business processes, which are primarily aimed at increasing the level of automated customer service, have been adopted. The transition to a new level of customer service for cargo transportation requires the use of non-traditional approaches for railways, the main goal of which is to provide a comprehensive transportation service with minimum requirements for the client. The implementation of the «Orders» system in the transportation of goods according to the «door-to-door» scheme requires the provision of a wide range of additional services that are required as part of a comprehensive transport and forwarding service. The basis of the new system is a decision-making system that will significantly reduce the total time for transportation, reduce not only the costs directly related to rail transportation, but also the costs of providing additional services. Thus, for today's complex transport and forwarding service with the operational involvement of capacities, capabilities and specialists of specialized enterprises, organizations and individuals, it is necessary to create certain conditions that would correspond to the specifics of the work of the transport industry in general and the current situation in railway transport in particular. The first-priority measures that must be applied at the current stage are given.
