In Kuwait, deep salt triggered structures are not investigated in view of absence of salt piercement to the shallower depths or growing of full diapirs. Seismic signal at greater depths constrains its resolution due to attenuation of energy at such a greater depth and presence of inter-bed multiple generated from shallow very high velocity seismic events. Additionally, carbonate stringers, evaporites etc. within Hormuz Salt series of Eocambrian age reported in the region(Iran and Oman) generate seismic reflections and add to the problems of salt mapping. Integrated modelling using seismic, gravity, magnetic and borehole data is adopted to generate basement configuration maps to evaluate role of Eocambrian salt in the evolution of the structures and their trends in the Dibdibba trough of Kuwait. Also, the relationship and continuity with the similar salt structures reported from the south in Saudi Arabia is analyzed.
