Abstract

Orchopeas leucopus (Baker) Type host: Peromyscus leucopus from Madison Co., New York. Deposition, host records, and locality: HWML 91985, O. leucogaster /Grama Grass 2012; HWML 101674, O. leucogaster /Station Grounds 2012; HWML 92042, O. leucogaster /Grama Grass 2013; HWML 101697, Pm. maniculatus /Station Grounds 2013; HWML 101767 and 101768, Pm. leucopus /Ackley 2013; HWML 92058, Pm. maniculatus /Ackley 2013. Remarks: This is a common Peromyscus flea in North America, and is known to occur in Nebraska infesting both Pm. maniculatus and Pm. leucopus (Rapp and Gates 1957). We have collected this flea species from O. leucogaster and both Pm. leucopus and Pm. maniculatus.
