Zum Kristallisationsverhalten des SbSJ unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Pendelprinzips

Abstract

AbstractMit der Zielstellung, größere SbSJ‐Einkristalle zu erhalten, wurde das Kristallisationsverhalten des SbSJ beim Zonenschmelz‐ und Bridgmanverfahren sowie nach chemischen Transportreaktionen untersucht. Durch schrittweise Absenkung der Bridgmanampulle wurden einkristalline Bereiche von über 2 mm Durchmesser erhalten.Der Gasphasentransport des SbSJ stellt sich als chemische Transportreaktion dar, die durch die thermische Zersetzung des SbSJ und die anschließende Verbindungsbildung in der Kristallisationszone gekennzeichnet ist. Die geringe Verdampfungsrate der sulfidischen Komponente bestimmt die Transport‐ und Wachtumsgeschwindigkeit entscheidend.Die Temperaturpendelung in der Kristallisationzone bewirkte eine deutliche Steigerung besonders des Dickenwachstums der Kristalle. Gleichzeitig trat eine Verringerung der Keimzahl ein.Nach seinen Strukturdaten gehört SbSJ eindeutig zum axialen Kristalltyp. Die Ermittlung der Wahrscheinlichkeit der Flächenentwicklung nach DONNAY und HARKER sowie nach dem P.B.C.‐Modell ergaben die Reihenfolge der Flächen, die tatsächlich an den Kristallen auftritt.Durch Betrachtung des Wachstums der SbSJ‐Kristalle in verschiedenen kristallographischen Richtungen wurde versucht, aus der Anisotropie des Wachstums die Nadelform der Kristalle, sowie das verstärkte Dickenwachstum bei Anwendung des Pendelprinzips durch zweidimensionale Keimbildung zu erklären.
