This study explores issues of burnout and job satisfaction among teachers. Teacher job satisfaction is a multifaceted construct that is critical to teacher retention, teacher commitment, and school effectiveness. Female workforce is found to be greater than males who try to meet the educational needs of student right from early years which is regarded as a challenging job. In this backdrop an attempt is made through this paper to study how much satisfied are the teachers with their job in this sector. The study was carried with a sample of 134 employees (Masters and Teachers) was taken, working in private schools in India. The result generated from the study was that the employees (Masters and Teachers) were mostly satisfied with their job in all respects and enjoyed to take challenge of teaching in early years. All the variables of Job studied indicate that the teachers are fairly satisfied. While teachers in the lower achieving schools were more dissatisfied with teacher-teacher relationships and their school's curriculum than those in the higher achieving schools, and they reported a greater discrepancy in student achievement. Principals are advised to act on issues that erode teacher satisfaction by promoting teacher involvement in decision making and simultaneously focusing on education reforms.
