Till now, 33 species of the family Braconidae have been recorded from Eritrea. They belong to eight subfamilies: Agathidinae (two species in two genera), Brachistinae (one species), Braconinae (21 species in nine genera), Cardiochilinae (one species), Macrocentrinae (one species), Microgastrinae (four species in two genera), Opiinae (two species in two genera) and Rogadinae (one species). The name Iconella lacteipennis (SZÉPLIGETI, 1913) is revalidated and the replacement name Apanteles assabensis SHENEFELT, 1972 falls in synonymy.
