Storms are a combination of driving agents affecting coastal evolution. On the eastern fringe of the Rhone delta, thresholds of driving agents are defined ; different forms of storms are defined and associated with various types of morphosedimen- tary impacts. The impacts of recent storms are studied in two areas : the Faraman sector which belongs to the salt industry of the Compagnie des Salins du Midi et des Salines de l'Est, and the eastern beaches (from les Baisses de Quenin to la flèche de la Gracieuse). Destructive storms in the Faraman sector can be constructive on the other beaches, thus illustrating the importance of the sedimentary context and the sediment redistribution by storms.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 2 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
