Relógio de sol com interação humana: uma poderosa ferramenta educacional

Abstract

Neste trabalho serão apresentados os resultados da utilização do relógio de sol analêmico como um importante método didático, uma ferramenta de auxílio no processo de ensino-aprendizagem de conceitos básicos de física e astronomia. Os relógios foram construídos em escolas públicas do Norte e Noroeste Fluminense, onde várias atividades foram desenvolvidas com as turmas envolvidas na pesquisa. O relógio de sol analêmico, ou relógio com interação humana, é uma forma didática lúdica de difundir conceitos básicos de física desde as séries iniciais do ensino fundamental. Este relógio é constituído de uma marcação em forma de elipse, onde se localizam as horas e outra que indica a posição do gnômon, cuja sombra servirá como o ponteiro do relógio. Neste caso o gnômon é um estudante que participa ativamente do processo de ensino-aprendizagem. O relógio é desenhado no pátio da escola. As atividades realizadas são divididas entre a sala de aula e o pátio. No pátio são realizadas a maior parte das atividades. O aluno tem a oportunidade de observar ao seu redor as mudanças aparentes da posição do Sol. O que dificulta a utilização deste recurso didático é o complexo processo de construção. Para auxiliar na sua construção desenvolvemos um gabarito, ou seja, um modelo do relógio de sol analêmico. O projeto está alcançando resultados satisfatórios, os quais demonstram o quanto o relógio de sol analêmico pode ajudar a aguçar a natureza investigativa do aluno.
