In this paper, the detection of targets in real sonar signals by transmitting various sequences is considered. In sonar systems, only the basic forms of signals were considered for transmission. The challenge of target detection under real data will be analyzed by transmitting two sequences, Alltop and Bjorck. Also, the goal is to detect and reconstruct targets by using a simple yet effective compressive sensing algorithm. Then the amplitude and the range will be calculated. The results of will be compared to the two traditionally used chirp signal, and also to the matched filter as one of the most important tools for signal detection.
