The collection holds approximately 250,000 records, including 23,000 algae specimens, making it one of the largest collections in Latin America. Additionally, the collection includes approximately 1,000 type specimens, 325 photographs, 420 specimens preserved in liquid media, 460 records in the carpoteca, and 8,000 records in the xylotheque. Among its notable collections are the Flora of Campos Rupestres (covering Minas Gerais, Bahia, Goiás, and Tocantins), the Flora of Pico das Almas, Flora of Serra do Cipó, Flora of Grão Mogol, Flora of Catolés, Flora of São Paulo, as well as the W. Hoehne and A.B. Joly collections. #--------------------O acervo possui cerca de 250 mil registros, dos quais 23 mil são algas, uma das maiores coleções da América Latina. Constam ainda no acervo cerca de 1000 materiais-tipo, 325 fotografias, 420 materiais em meio líquido, 460 registros em carpoteca e 8 mil registros em xiloteca. Como coleções relevantes, há a Flora dos Campos Rupestres (MG, BA, GO, TO), a Flora do Pico das Almas, a Flora da Serra do Cipó, a Flora de Grão Mogol, a Flora de Catolés, a Flora de São Paulo, as coleções de W.
