The non-active pockmarks of the Oslo Fjord are excellent seabed features for studying the effects of geology on the microbial diversity. Geological features such as pockmarks effect the waterflow over the seabed. Here we studied the microbial communities from pockmarks sediments to understand how the diversity is affected by these structures.
