The genus Apterigia Galushko (Cruciferae) of the Caucasus

Abstract

The taxonomic structure and morphology of the genus Apterigia Galushko in the Caucasus was considered. This genus in the Caucasus is represented by four species: A. rostrata (N. Busch) Galushko, A. zangezurica (Tzvelev) V. I. Dorof., A. pumila (Steven) Galushko and A. caespitosa (Boiss.) V. I. Dorof. The first three species are classified to the type section, the last species — to the new section Subulata V. I. Dorof. sect. nova. In South-West Asia also 4 species of the genus Apterigia are known: A. kurdica (Hedge) V. I. Dorof. comb. nova, A. valerianoides (Rech. f.) V. I. Dorof. comb. nova, A. papillosa (Boiss.) V. I. Dorof. comb. nova and A. sintenisii (Hausskn. ex Bornm.) V. I. Dorof. comb. nova. They were considered in the genus Thlaspi L. earlier.
