Today, cryogenics is a reality. It is a technique for the preservation of bodies, it is not authorized by French law but is expanding in the United States and other states. It is sometimes regarded as funerary law, while it is conceived by its defenders as a precondition for future revivification. The ethical and legal questions it raises are numerous and symptomatic of the emergence of an existential right.
