OSCE versus Traditional Method of Evaluation (Viva Voce) regarding Students Clinical Achievement on Mental Status Examination and their Opinion in a Selected Nursing College of Bhopal (MP).

Abstract

An evaluative, experimental study on comparative effectiveness of objective structured clinical evaluation (OSCE) as against traditional method of viva voce was undertaken among 3rd year BSc Nursing students of a selected nursing college of Bhopal (MP). It was revealed that the students' clinical achievement under OSCE was significantly higher than using traditional (viva voce) method as reflected in their level of satisfaction.
